Ishpeming Area Historical Society Tour of Historic Homes

Tours of 3 historic homes and an additional historic property. This year we feature the John Voelker home, used in the film Anatomy of a Murder, with Jimmy Stewart, Lee Remick, George C. Scott, and Kathryn Grant. The film is celebrating 50 years with events all over Marquette County here in the beautiful Upper Peninsula. Other homes are a Tudor Revival owned by prominent local banker & businessman Sam Cohodas, and a Colonial Revival owned by a mining captain. All of the homes are located in the historic Strawberry Hill neighborhood. There will be refreshments at Andriacchi's Store. The NEGAUNEE Historical Society wil also host a tour of homes the same day, so plan to come and make a day of it!
