Is there a type of bathroom vent that will remove moisture, but does not have to be vented to the outside? We have interior bathrooms on the second floor that would be next to impossible (without damage to the third floor) to vent outside.

Thanks,

I grew up in a house with an inside bathroom which had a transom over the door - vented the bathroom pretty well - But in those days we did not take showers every day...
Could you run a vent parallel with the floor joists to exit on the side of the house the way a dryer does?

We are going to give that a shot since we are ending up removing all the ceiling plaster anyway.
