My Old House Online

An online community for people who love old houses.

My newest design idea for my front porch is to inset (I think that's the right word) handmade porcelain tiles into the front and back of my wooden porch posts.  What sort of adhesive should I use to help hold the tiles in their "compartments"?

Thanks,

Amanda (WV)

I would think any glue/adhesive that is waterproof. An exterior silicone caulking should do it. You should use something that seals well around the edges so moisture does not get in and its easy to clean up.
