Our 1905 was "renovated" in the '70's and all the wood doors with transoms were replaced by standard hollow core doors. We are ripping those out but I have run into a problem.
The transoms pivoted on a spring-loaded pin mounted mid-window on each side. The spring pushed the pin out toward the frame and into a small metal receiver. The transom could be removed by pulling back against the springs and disengaging the pin.
Anyone know where I can find those pins? I have tried various Google searches but have come up with nothing.

Permalink Reply by Tim Turnham on April 1, 2011 at 11:51pm I found the same item at another location as well:
You can get cheap ones made by Stanley with plastic plungers, but I think the all metal ones make more sense.
