I have come across a '50s (probably) vintage stove that appears to be in very good shape and in working order. I will post photos and the brand/model info. If anyone is looking for this vintage…Continue

I have this really cool window in my kitchen that someone told me was a "B G" window. I have done web searches on several versions of this: B.G., Begee, Beegee, Bee Gee, to no avail. Has anyone here…Continue

Now that I have my bathroom almost done, I finally cleaned up the used tub that I installed. It was a 50/50 chance that the surface would be useable as is, and once I got it clean, it is apparent…Continue

The first time I walked through the first floor of my house, it struck me that the house was built in 1924, yet the first floor had a beautiful flow to it, and an open floorplan. The kitchen is separated from the rest of the rooms by a swinging door and a half-stairwell that leads to the basement and the backyard. When I first looked at this house, the previous owners made some, errrr... interesting choices, but probably the most memorable was the gawdawful royal blue paint on the walls in one of the bedrooms. It was so awful, the room actually felt as if it were vibrating. To make matters worse, there were these long, Frankenstein-looking plaster repairs on every wall.…
