Thing that bothers me most is replacement windows with plastic grids and improperly hung shutters. I'm a purist. Just don't understand folks wanting a historic home AND requiring such modern conveniences.

- I am going to check out your site! I want to start my own site once I get things up and running back in the states. I am lucky that my father in law is a licensed contractor and is going to help my wife and I out a WHOLE lot!!! He is also going to do the electrical.
I am sure there will be a lot of interesting finds in my old house as I begin the resto. I think that comes with all old houses.. sometimes you find a lot more bad things than good, but its all part of the game :)
