Hello, I think it is a great idea. True maybe the next owners may not respect the history and totally remuddle it. To prevent this you can attach a Preservation Easement. If the house is not, or will not qualify for the historic register, you can…

Newel Post base

Hello, I am having new newel posts made for my exterior front porch.  I am having a difficult time finding a place to purchase a Newel Post Base.  The posts are 5 1/2 wide and I would like a metal base to keep the post raised about 1/4 in off the brick walkway it will be resting on.Any suggestions appreciated.thanks!See More

Try Sherwin Williams - Blue Sky #0063 This color is approved for NJ State grant restoration projects for porch ceilings. It has a greenish tint to it. Good luck, Ken of oldhouseguy.com

I have used NuWall fiberglass over drywall to repair stress cracks. Also used it over real plaster walls to make an over all smooth appearance. You will like this product. If the walls are over 8' and you don't have experience handling…

For plaster cracks, skim coating and resurfacing plaster try the following Master of Plaster. I have been using this product for the past 12 years and it is the best product for plaster repairs.
