I think the name the realtor gave you was Vitrolite, a type of structural glass popular for a couple of decades at the beginning of the 20th century, and a product which was heavily used during the Deco years. Vitrolite was billed as both durable and sanitary, and it was very popular on storefronts and in bathrooms for houses. Colors were often bright monotones, but the quick search I just did turned up some faux stone varieties, too (ie marbled). I'm not familiar with the specific manufacturer the realtor mentioned, but there were several companies making it during its heyday. I'm sure you can find more info. online. Hope this helps - Demetra

Hi Mallory!

Do you guys have any plans for the fireplace? It's very nice. I don't see any room for improvements.
