A friend of mine is doing this right now, and unfortunately I was unable to convince him to not use sheetrock, though he was able to save large pieces of the original wallpaper to frame and put in each room.

What do you do to ship-lap to "finish it". I don't want to cover it with sheetrock. It was covered with cheesecloth and wallpaper. I have those fabulous little nails all in it. Sand, stain??
