I am so excited about moving to Maine. I will miss my Texas House it is a very nice and comfortable house- but I am not a warm weather person. I need to get this house ready to sell first. So my yellow kitchen will go to a nice safe white. There is a lot of work to do in the new house but nothing that an experiences person can't get done in a few days! - I want to have the perfect old home and I have always wanted a stove on legs. I can do a lot of work in a house except two man jobs. I am a former college professor now a writer of no importance.
- Tell us about your old-house experiences and dreams:
- I have purchased a 111 yr old house in Maine that needs just a little work- but I want a combination wood and gas cook stove to warm the area and cook on I do not know if it will pass the new codes but I like the idea of a cozy kitchen and bread baked in a wood oven. I can paint and do dry wall. I will need help doing the big stuff- who does not!
