"Stonebridge" - Chadds Ford, PA Photo Tour

Can anyone help us with naming this deco tile?

My husband and I recently bought a home that has this marble looking tile around the fireplace and in one bathroom. The realtor told us it is original to the home (built in 1925) and the tile was made in Evansville IN. Production was stopped in the 1920's as well. I believe the realtor called it "victor light" but I have not been able to find any info on the internet. Does anyone know what this is, and any… Continue

When I was in Boston last month, I walked the Freedom Trail and marveled at the countless architectural gems I stumbled upon around seemingly every corner of that history-steeped city. "New" Bungalow Under Construction

I have a vacation spot down in Maryland and the bad news is that the house burned down in 2007. The good news is that the rebuild is under way. Although I'm a Victorian nut, I'm also a big fan of the Bungalow style and have designed the house to take hints from this style. The windows, rooflines, overhangs, dormer, combo siding/shakes, and eventually the front porch reflect this intent.
