Restoring a 1905 Salt Box kitchen.

Hi. I am new here and could use some advice please.

I have a 1905 Salt Box home and I want to restore the kitchen back to period.

The original cub boards are long gone with newer wood notty pine ones.

I would like to put up some bead board and have chosen sage green and

a dusty yellow for my colors.   My question is: should I paint these new cub boards.?
