To Carpet or Not To Carpet that is the question

We have finally got to spend some time in our new house. (Had to wait thirty days for the previous owners to move out). We are in love with the house and are ready to start putting our own mark on the house. The previous owners had the upstairs carpeted; this must have been the plan from the beginning because we pulled up the carpet to get an idea of what was underneath. Contractor Follies

I was working this summer on a old house- building two new baths and renovating the existing one. It was Friday and the homeowners were away on vacation. My plasterer commented that the powder room toilet was "hot". Sure enough, when I felt the tank and bowl they were both hot! so I went down to the basement and checked the piping and sure enough, the Plumber's assistant had run the toilet supply line to the hot! instead of the cold.
