My bathroom renovation started when I put my arms through the floor

by the toilet whilst trying to replace a wax seal on my old toilet.

After removing about 4 layers of flooring which included vinyl flooring, plywood, newspapers and thinset mortar I finally reached the old floor boards, sad to say they were all wet and rotted out with p...., well you know what. I had to remove all the boards and start over with new boards and 1/2 inch plywood. I gutted all the walls, removed all the old framing and reframed, finding more space for the bathroom from a closet in the adjoining room. I subbed the drywall, electrical and plumbing out to professionals and did all the trim work, tile work and finish flooring myself. The bathroom turned out better than I thought it would, especially considering this was my first bathroom reno from the ground up.
