Comment by Jim on January 11, 2012 at 10:29pm There is actually an easier way to fix sagging, loose plaster that does not require all the plaster build up needed to cover plaster washers. See "How to Fix Loose Plaster". There is also a commercial product that does not need plaster washers called Big Wally's, but I don't think it works any better than our home-grown method.
I came across that article somwhere is researching the how-tos. There is always more than one way to skin a cat, as they say. Since I was not doing the work myself, I left it up to guy actually doing the job and he liked using the method above. I have to say it looks pretty good.
